ABOUT US
MAGIS comes from the Latin term “more.” But to us, it means something deeper: the relentless pursuit of excellence in everything we do on and off the field. At MAGIS, we believe our impact goes far beyond soccer. That’s why we see ourselves not just as coaches, but as mentors, committed to guiding our players in their growth as athletes and as people.
Meet the MAGIS Team

Founder & Coach
Hector Cantele
Coach Hector is the founder of MAGIS. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, he has been playing soccer since he was 5 years old. He fell in love with the game the very first time he kicked a soccer ball.
Back home, he had the opportunity to play professional soccer for Caracas FC. He was a part of their U-16, U-18, U-20, and 1st Division Team. In 2013, he was called up to the U-17 Venezuela National Team to represent Venezuela in the U-17 World Cup in the Arab Emirates.
After having the option to continue playing professionally, Hector decided to come to the United States to get an education. He was able to get a full scholarship to play for the University of Memphis.
"I believe my mission in this world is to share the knowledge that I've gained through my soccer experiences with the younger generations and empower them to become better human beings."

Coach
Carlos Hurtado
Coach Carlos was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and has been playing soccer since he was 4 years old.
Carlos played soccer year-round for his school growing up until he made his switch to an FC Barcelona-affiliated club at the age of 12. At 14, he moved to Florida to play for IMG Academy during high school, then committed 4 years to play for the University of Memphis.
Carlos has been an integral part of MAGIS for 4 years.
"I first joined MAGIS to connect on a personal level with young players and pass on what I have learned inside and outside the field."
We're thrilled to have his love for the game and passion for training here at MAGIS.

Admin, Programmer and Video Editor
Antonio Cantele
Antonio is in charge of all video editing for MAGIS. He brings extensive expertise to our team with six major coding and tech-related certifications.
Born and raised in Aragua, Venezuela, Antonio fell in love with soccer at a young age. What he loves about the game is the beauty of teamwork.
"Although each player can surprise you with good plays, it's all about cooperating with your team. What I like the most is that the best teams try synchronizing movements to win."
His love of soccer and desire to work within a tightly knit unit drew him to MAGIS.
"I observed how this wonderful academy has grown and evolved into an amazing team, and I wanted to be a part of it!"
Without his hard work, we would not be able to provide highlight reels for students to study and send out to coaches! Antonio is an invaluable member of our MAGIS family.

Coach
Jose Miguel Omana
Jose Miguel Omaña is from Maturín, Venezuela, where he started playing soccer at the age of seven. From that point on, the game became part of his identity. Jose played for Monagas SC in Venezuela and competed in national tournaments and high-level youth leagues across the country. Those experiences shaped his love for the game and gave him a deep understanding of the work, discipline, and passion it takes to grow as a player. After moving to the United States, Jose decided to shift his focus to coaching. He saw it as a way to stay connected to the sport he loves while also giving back to the next generation.
Jose holds a USSF D License and is constantly looking for ways to keep learning and improving as a coach.
“My goal is simple: I want to give young players the same joy and passion that soccer gave me. I’m here to guide them, challenge them, and help them become better both on and off the field.”
